Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so grateful for SO many things. I have a family that loves me, I have the opportunity to get an education, I have a loving Savior who is always there for me, a fantastic boyfriend, and a ton of great friends that I love! (that's hardly a start to the list...) So for today I hope you all enjoyed a great meal and a fantastic tryptophan-enduced coma and spent a moment to count your blessings!
I've had the opportunity to play with Adobe LightRoom a little recently, and I must say I'm enjoying it.
I've also been out taking pictures the last few days, of my siblings. :) Haha, it's always nice to have free models, and so many of them too! (I have 3 sisters and 4 brothers) Some of them are more willing than others but still a good way to practice!
I went out to take pictures with my sister Kayla (below), and my brother Adam, and was intending to focus more on portrait focused pictures as opposed to more artsy or aesthetic ones, (even though there is no clear line between portrait and art and documentary pictures but that's a whole other ball of wax!)... anyway! I wasn't expecting to get a shot like this but the opportunity presented itself and that's part of my philosophy in relation to photography- be ready for the unexpected! Better yet be ready to capture it!
here it is:
